Last month Isabelle attended two events, she visited the Sea Life Aquarium in London to help launch a new exhibit, and attended the premiere of LEGO‘s new 4D film! With a big thanks to my friend Mila I have added some photos from the two events to the gallery.
A few days ago Issy was lucky enough to visit Hollywood in the run up to the Screen Actors Guild Awards show. Unfortunately she caught the flu and was too poorly to attend the awards themselves, but was fortunate enough to get in a bit of sight seeing with her co-star Daniel beforehand. We all wish you a speedy recovery Isabelle!
If you live in the UK you’ll no doubt have seen and been having fun in the recent snow. Isabelle spent some time this weekend with her sister out and about having fun and has shared some pictures with us via her Facebook. I added them to our gallery too so you can also see them by clicking on the previews below!
Mila has very kindly sent me some photos of Isabelle appearing on ITV’s Lorraine back on January 10th. Issy looks as cute as a button as always. Unfortunately the photos are tagged, but they’re still great to see!
More Photos from the Les Miserables World Premiere
My very kind friend Georgia has donated nearly 30 high quality photos of Isabelle at the Les Miserables world premiere which took place on December 5th. Georgia has also donated lots of pictures from Issy’s other events but I’ll get round to those tomorrow. For now, please enjoy these pretty photos from last month!
Edit: I have now also added some high quality photos from the New York Les Miserables premiere on the 10th December.
Edit 2: I found some time to get the final batch of images up – this time from the National Ballet Party – looks like you won’t have to wait till tomorrow after all!
Les Miserables opened in UK cinemas yesterday and Isabelle has been out and about promoting the film and enjoying the experience in her home county. On the 10th January she appeared on Lorraine’s popular ITV show to talk about her experience on set and on the 11th January she appeared briefly on CBBC Newsround. You can find links to both of these interviews in the video clips section.
A rare still from the film has also been scanned and making it way around the web so I have added it to the gallery for you all to see too.
Finally, on the 10th January Issy was featured in The Argus newspaper – a local for the Sussex and Brighton community, and they have uploaded the article online here for everyone to read.
Tonight, Isabelle was on Manchester’s WFM radio station talking about Les Miserable and what she’s got planned next. I was fortunate enough to grab a recording live of this interview and if you missed it you can listen to it below (I will also add it to our video archive).
Thanks to the very kind Dan, we know that Isabelle is going to be interviewed by Chris Oatway on Wythenshawe FM (a Manchester based radio station) tomorrow afternoon during drive time – be sure to tune in if you live in the area!
Issy will also appear on ITV on Thursday morning throughout England on the Lorraine show.
Lastly I have now updated the fan site with Isabelle’s agency credentials. We know that she is signed with Hobsons based in London. Why not take a look at their web page for even more up and coming talent too?
Isabelle was recently interviews by London’s Heart FM radio about her debut film. You can read the article below.
The British child actor opens up about her first big Hollywood film role
Isabelle Allen from Eastbourne is certainly no ordinary 10-year-old.
The actress may not be a household name yet, but you will probably recognise her huge blue eyes, blonde hair and striking features from the posters of the new film version of the musical Les Miserables.
Previous to starring in the film, little Isabelle had no formal acting training and had only been in school plays, yet the youngster has beaten thousands of hopefuls to the role of orphan Cosette.
“I was quite surprised that I was in a film” Isabelle told The Sun “because I had always wanted to be in one since I was really little. So it is kind of a dream.”
Allen will be heading to LA for the Academy Awards ceremony next month. The film is in fact tipped for Oscar glory.
Les Miserables is released in cinemas nationwide on January 11th.
It’s lovely to know that Isabelle is going to be out and about at another event next month! I can’t wait to see what dress she chooses (I bet it’ll be adorable!).
Movie Special Video, an Article and a Photo Shoot!
I have a lovely, jam packed, first official update for you today! Yesterday Isabelle was featured in The Sun – talking about her experience on her first film. The article featured a lovely photo shoot picture too which has been added to the gallery for easy viewing.
With wisps of her straw hair flickering across her pale complexion, it is the striking face of the British film that is set to take the Oscars by storm.
This is Isabelle Allen, who beat thousands of other girls to land the coveted role of French orphan Cosette in Les Miserables.
And her rise from obscurity to being feted as the next great child star would make for a blockbuster in its own right.
Isabelle had never been to stage school, her parents have no acting background and, just a few months ago, her biggest role was as a boy in her school play.
Now, thanks to her amazing singing voice and mature composure, she is appearing at A-list celeb events and has her own agent.
Finally, at the beginning of January ITV aired a four-part Les Miserables special program. Isabelle was featured in part 2, which has been shared kindly on Youtube; it takes us behind the scenes of the premiere and Issy gives us her own little tour! You can watch the 12 minute clip below or find it in our videos section.
